Today, as we enter into the beginning of something new for you and your family, I want to enable you to live out your best year yet. See folks, my desire is to help you start your year in an atmosphere (spiritually & physically) of blessing and favor. I recently sat down and jotted down a couple points to remind MYSELF why it’s important to give back to the Lord and what happens when I do. I wanted to share them with you.
1.) Your giving is a physical documentation of your love for God. God sees everything! He doesn’t forget when you give to Him or look past your sacrifice. When you give, you’re actually building eternity! Your generosity is how we reach people all over the world for God’s Kingdom. When you help build God’s Kingdom, He will help build yours. The last offering we give to God for lost souls, is the last documentation He has of our belief for the great commission.
2.) What we make happen for others, God makes happen for us. Ephesians 6:8 says, “Remember, the Lord will pay you for each good thing you do…”
3.) Finally, God doesn’t expect us to give everything we have away, but we can’t reap if we don’t sow. He can’t bless us with more, if we don’t give more. I used to tell my children all the time, “if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” You might be wondering why nothing is happening for you, it might be because you’re not totally honoring God in every area of your life.
My wife and I have sown a special year end seed into the ministry at The City Church this year expecting great reward and blessing from it! I am praying for your financial miracle along with mine! That in 2014, God would open doors for you in your home like He has continually done for me in my home-but that only happens when we stretch ourselves and give to Him. Watch and see what God will do for you in 2014!
