The City Church | Sundays 8:30AM, 10:00AM | Thursdays 7:00PM

I am fortunate to be able, on some Monday’s, to carve some time to accomplish some personal things that I love to do. Today was one of those days. What made it even more special to me was the scripture that I had shared this past Sunday which resonated within me today to a point of just being overtaken with it.

Romans 5:6-8
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I began to reflect on the fact that when I have been unaware that God was helping me, when I was not cognizant of His help or for that fact I wasn’t even looking for His help, He was there. I have been powerless, I have been ungodly. But even at those moments, Jesus loved me beyond my actions and covered my shame by His actions. Giving His life on the Cross-and giving me eternal life.

I truly am in an “after” effect mode today and am so thankful! Pastor Marty
